The DAT gravesite cost is subject to future changes. Funeral home and cemetery surcharges are set by third parties and are payable at the time of the funeral.

It is a great reminder and preparation for the Akhirah (Hereafter). It also removes the financial burden from your next of kin and the Muslim community of having to purchase your gravesite after death.
2- Can I pre-purchase multiple gravesites?
Yes, you can purchase more than one gravesite.
3- What documentation will I receive after purchasing a gravesite?
You will receive a certificate of ownership and payment receipt. DAT also retains a record of your purchase for access by the DAT Board and DAT Funeral Committee.
Please also inform your next of kin that you own a gravesite with DAT.
4- What is the cost of the gravesite if purchased through DAT?
A DAT gravesite currently costs $3,950. Please note that this cost is subject to future changes.
5- Are there any additional costs at the time of the funeral?
Yes, there may be additional costs such as:
- (a)Funeral home charges — independent of DAT, approximately $1,500–$2,500. These are payable directly to the funeral home at the time of the funeral and cannot be pre-purchased.
- (b)Weekend & holiday burial surcharge — Columbia Memorial Park charges approximately $500 (Saturday) and $700 (Sunday or public holiday).

Availability is not guaranteed
The selection and purchase of a specific gravesite does not guarantee its availability or suitability at the time of burial. Factors beyond the control of Dar Al-Taqwa (DAT) — such as the cemetery's topographical changes, infrastructure updates, environmental discoveries, regulatory modifications, and other cemetery operations and issues — may affect site usability.
If a purchased gravesite is deemed unusable at the time of need, DAT will notify the deceased’s authorized family representative of any issues affecting site suitability, and will use its best efforts to find a mutually agreeable solution. The family will be given a choice of one of the following options before the scheduled burial:

DAT maintains the right to make final determinations on site suitability based on cemetery conditions and directives. This disclaimer becomes effective upon the purchase of any gravesite and remains binding upon all designated representatives and successors.
