ANNOUNCEMENTS

Free blood pressure, diabetes, and wellness screenings will be available in the community hall after Dhuhr prayer. Registration is recommended but walk-ins are welcome. Registration is now open for the summer youth basketball program for ages 10–16. Space is limited and participants should register through the Dar Al Taqwa website. New and returning volunteers are invited to attend an orientation covering current opportunities, safety guidelines, and volunteer expectations. Enrollment is open for the fall Weekend Quran Program. Classes include Quran reading, memorization, Islamic studies, and character development. The media room will be temporarily unavailable for scheduled maintenance. Existing reservation holders will be contacted with alternative arrangements. Please donate non-perishable food items, rice, cooking oil, canned goods, and hygiene products. Collection bins are located near the main entrance. Join us for an evening of community fellowship, family activities, and a shared potluck dinner. Families are encouraged to bring a dish to share. Dar Al Taqwa is collecting backpacks, notebooks, pencils, and other school supplies for local students in need. A monthly support circle for new Muslims will provide practical guidance, mentorship, and an opportunity to connect with the community. Community members interested in supporting Janazah services are invited to a training session covering procedures, etiquette, and volunteer responsibilities. A wellness workshop for sisters will cover stress management, healthy routines, and maintaining balance in daily life. Help keep the masjid and surrounding grounds clean and welcoming. Founded in 1992 by local Muslim leadership, Dar Al-Taqwa is a community-based, non-profit 501(c)(3) organization serving Howard County, Maryland and society at large through goodwill, unity, and understanding — a religious, educational, and non-political home for all.

From the five daily prayers and two Jumu’ah to weekend schools, seminars, youth and interfaith programs, summer camp, weddings, and funeral services, our doors are open to everyone. All are welcome to use the facility for their social, educational, and spiritual needs.
